WEDNESDAY’S VIBES

👋 HAPPY WEDNESDAY, CUTIE

🚀 MORE GROWTH, MORE COMPLIANCE: As CuratedLA continues to grow, I’ve been busy behind the scenes: Gmail + Yahoo are nudging the entire newsletter realm to update nerdy complaince by this Friday. Here’s what’s new + nerdy tips:

COMPLIANCE

NERDY TIPS

Personalized Privacy Notice: Your data is precious. I’ve tailored a privacy notice just for us all.

Anonymous Email Accounts: Try services like Addy (it’s free!).

Universal Design: The CuratedLA colors now cater to everyone’s taste for accessibility + universal design.

Use the Plus Sign: Register with ‘[email protected]’ or the name of the newsletter that you are signing up for to track where your info goes. The ‘+’ tip works for Gmail and Google Workspace Accounts.

Industry-Wide Changes: These email tweaks are happening across all our favorite newsletters. As an overthinker, and one that wishes to practice technology law in the future, I didn’t want you to think I sold your data to my friend Craig. Craig’s got a list where people buy and sell things.

Takeaway: Keep soaking in the good vibes, and I’ll ensure that CuratedLA gets delivered to your inbox. Or, if you’d rather bookmark and unsubscribe, or not subscribe, that is fine too! And because Monday was devoted to being nerdy, CuratedLA is running tomorrow, on Thursday (and Friday).

  • 🍔 WENDY’S DOES SURGE PRICING: Wendy's is planning to introduce surge pricing, also known as dynamic pricing, on its menu items starting in 2025. We’ve all seen surge pricing on our favorite rideshare apps such as Lyft. This strategy for Wendy’s involves fluctuating prices throughout the day, based on factors such as the economic basics of supply + demand. This new implementation is part of Wendy’s $20m roadmap of investing in new digital menu boards and other digital-first solutions.
